I just came onto your blog off another one. It's AMAZING. I love love love your toys. This little fellow is my favourite. Is there any chance you could tell me how you made him? He's fabulous! This has made my day and it's only 11.23am :)
I just clicked onto your blog off another one. It's really rather fabulous! I especially love this little fellow. He's adorable. I would love to have a go at making my own little panda! Is it difficult? Again, I love all your toys!! Fantastic :) Brid x x
Hi Brid!! Awww u made my day too! :D it's actually very easy to make sock dolls & for Patches, all u need is 1 black sock & 1 white sock, 2 eyes (beads will do too), polyester stuffing. :) hmm I will normally prepare the socks by thinking how many pcs of what are needed, n for this u will need 2 arms, 2 feet, 2 ears, 2 eye patches (just cut out 2 circles to be sewn in later) and 1 tail..all this will come fr the black sock. The good thing abt the material is that it's stretchy so just make sure the fabric is completely sewn, then stuff! :) oh yes, for the body, take a white sock, cut off the part near the toes in a curve this will make the top of the panda, then cut the part before the heel off in a straight line. Turn sock inside out n sew the curved part using a hem stitch, hmm the kind ard fleece blankets? :p? Then turn it back n stuff..after u r pleased w the firmness of ur doll, sew the bottom up..I use a basic stitch that pulls the fabric together n then keep the excess cloth inside.. Stitch up more to make sure the sewing stays.. :p I think i may not be very clear, let me know again if u encounter any problems! ;)
Oh wow! When I get a spare moment I'm going to give him a try! He's too cute. Thanks a million for the instructions. They're so helpful! Once I get a spare minute, it'll be spent making him! Merci beaucoup :)
